HELEN MCLEAN

Lawyer

Helen McLEAN is based in the Marseilles office of the law firm. She graduated with a degree in Maritime and Transport law from the University of Aix-en-Provence in 1988.

After some time with the EC press office in Marseilles, she started to work as P & I correspondent in June 1989.

Since she was admitted to the Marseilles Bar in 1992, Helen McLean has been practising as a lawyer, dealing mainly with cases relating to:
- cargo claims,
- ships and bunkers' arrests,
- disputes with port authorities,
- pollution,
- collisions,
- yachts and megayachts,
- road transport,
- commercial law.

Helen McLean is a board member of the Mediterranean Institute of Maritime Transport, a member of the French Association of Maritime Law and of the B'Lading Club Marseille.

François le borgne de la Tour

Lawyer

François Le Borgne is based in the Paris office of the firm. He graduated with a degree in Maritime and Transport law from the University of Paris I in 1988.

He started to practice maritime law as P & I correspondent in October 1988 and was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1993.

François Le Borgne mainly deals with cases relating to :
- Charter-parties,
- cargo claims,
- ships and bunkers' arrests,
- passengers' claims for personal injury,
- pollution,
- collisions and dock damage,
- through transport,
- river carriage.

Thanks to the presence in Paris of the Paris Maritime Arbitration Chamber, he has gained a significant experience of charter-party disputes in arbitration. François Le Borgne is a member of the French Association of Maritime Law.
